    Wait - don't complete until both are sold (to be pedantic, it seems neither have sold, you just have offers on both. Neither have you bought, you are currently buying).

    What if you complete then both sales fall through? Bridging loan would be mad. Huge risk.

  • We need to raise 20k for works to be carried out on my mums house, she is selling it once the works are done. We have no idea what would be the best way to raise the 20k.  My mum owns the house outright. She is 74, we have a couple interested in buying it already as there are no properties for sale in the area.

    can you lower the price by £20k (or a bit less if you can) and so the new buyers can do the works themselves?

    Suggest you start your own new thread, rather than tag onto the end of a very old, unrelated one. You'll get better responses that way.
