Success in reclaiming my PPI

I knew that I had PPI on my HSBC mortgage, in fact I had made a claim when I was ill in 2005.
My daughter encouraged me to make a claim under Plevin(?) and yesterday I received notice of a payment of £3500. This represents all payments made plus compensation less the money paid to me on my claim, less tax (this I can reclaim as my income is below the tax threshold.
I am 75 years old and made my claim on my own thanks to MSE and their strait forward forms.
I would encourage anyone to try, nothing to loose but a lot to gain.
