    Thanks - correct

My understanding was that the OP wanted to set up a second Reward account to switch in a non-Halifax account and receive the switching bonus.
They were reluctant to activate paperless option on the original long standing Reward account.

Officially, you can only have one Halifax Reward account, but their systems don't follow the rules and you can open a second one online. It worked for me a few months ago.

    Thanks.

Did you apply whilst logged in as an exisiting customer?

Have you received your switch bonus?

When you try to apply whilst logged in the system takes you back to the website, so the process is the same as for new customers.

I haven't switched into my second Reward account, -I wanted it for other purposes. I've already had a switching bonus on my original Reward account, so I wouldn't get another one anyway.

    I'm in a similar situation.

Has anyone actually switched successfully from an account without any DDs or SOs?

I notice on Halifax they state 'Transfer your payment arrangements from your old bank account to us and close the old account'.

I transferred a "donor" Starling account to Halifax with no money in it and no active DD's and still got paid the switch reward.

What's wrong with you people. You can't switch a HALIFAX REWARD ACCOUNT to a HALIFAX REWARD ACCOUNT and receive a switching bonus!
What is wrong with you? At no point did anyone either ask to do this or were recommended to do this.

Fleemkt - Other than Halifax have you any other bank current accounts ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
