Your logic makes a lot of sense. I think I'm just struggling with the psychology with suddenly having a lump sum to invest and the thought that we are well into a bull market run...I will have a good think about it, cheers
Sure it's a big leap of faith and it's important to be emotionally prepared for the volatility as your initial returns will be pretty random and there could be several years of depressing valuations but the probably of a positive outcome increases with time. The nice thing about being on a 60/40 allocation is there is still plenty of opportunity to increase your equity allocation to hasten your recovery if buying opportunities present themselves.
