secure garden gate recommendations

We're after a garden side gate, full height and as secure and heavy duty looking as possible. Any recommendations please? Most I seem to find are more decorative, than secure :(

How much money do you want to spend?

Will you be putting in your own posts?

Locks and hinges cany vary a lot in price

Do you want to be able to lock/unlock from both sides?

With modern cordless power tools it is easy to make a new hole in anything surrounding a garden Especialy wood.

How good are the fences no point spending 100s on a gate when the fence is a gate waiting to be made.

Up to maybe £200 or £300 for a really solid gate. There is a post already there, and the other post the latch latches onto is fixed to the house. (the gate is next to the front of the house, facing same way as the front door, leads down our side alleyway)

Not too fussed about opening it from the front, we only use it to take the wheelie bins out anyway, so it sometimes is only opened once or twice a week to take larger items round to the back garden.

Fortunately, all 3 rear fences are well protected, both sides are great neighbours and new 6ft fences, and the bottom fence is protected the other side of it by huge conifers, so big you cant even see it from outside the garden

    I bought a side gate from here - https://all-gates.co.uk/side-gates.

I found them very responsive and flexible, and prices compared well with other places I looked at. The gate I bought was a conventional 6 foot cladded timber gate though, not anything security-focused.

No six-foot gate will ever be completely secure though - a big stepladder will defeat most!

A gate is only secure as the hinges and lock.
