A similar problem is discussed here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5996842
Personally all of my PO DDs went through on the 1st so I haven't had this issue. The easiest way forward however is probably to cancel all the DDs and reset the mandates as you've described - a bit of faff but likely to be easier than trying to get BOI to actually fix their horrendous mess of a system.0 -

I had lots of problems with accounts getting blocked continually. Submitted a complaint (which was ignored for 10 weeks - different story) and they blamed it on having too many accounts as the T&Cs say only one account per person (NOT per issue, despite the fact they let you).
Be aware if you push it they could take the accounts away...Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
PO "we will delete the 8 linked a/c details. You then set up dd's at each of the different banks"
So instead of PO pulling money OUT of each Bank, I will be asking each Bank to send/push the money out. What a faff0 -

Esbank - yeah, that's true. Will wait a day til PO clear the details and then re enter. Hope that works "Do one each day they say" (why ?)0

So instead of PO pulling money OUT of each Bank, I will be asking each Bank to send/push the money out. What a faffSurely if you push the money from the banks (i.e. not by DD) then that's self-defeating, assuming that the reason you have multiple PO accounts in the first place is specifically to provide multiple DDs to satisfy bank requirements?
The post office don't know the difference standing orders and direct debits. Had this conversation several times!Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
When PO say they will delete the 8 linked account details and you say that you have 9, are you saying that you have 9 PO savings or 9 current accounts that the DD are set up on? As PO only allow 1 linked account per PO savings.
Also a joint PO savings can only be set up on a joint account.0 -
9 savings a/cs but one is working OK re DDs, so only 8 are a problem.
Have managed to reenter 3 linked a/c details and (hopefully) 3 x direct debits on these. Site wont allow me to do any more yet/today0 -
Post Office Savings are useless. Their call centre staff haven't got a clue. When the interest on my Tesco current accounts drop next month, I'm probably going to close them, as I've got some 'proper' direct debits set up with those which I can probably make better use of elsewhere.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
