Morning all
It's a bit dull here today weather wise. I managed to get all the washing dried yesterday except some thick items which have been on the airer overnight.
Today we have to go up to town to the big surgery to collect Mr Fix It's script, then on to the pharmacy. We will call in the meat van and the local shop for a loaf of bread, then come home and get changed into work clothes before we go to Dad's to fix his bedroom light back up. I shall probably find something or other to clean while I'm there :rotfl:.
Right best get a shift on.
Hope everyone has a good Friday
Take care all

Moring! Didn't do much yesterday, went to Aldi, made food, voted, took some flowers over to neighbor who was making me food, re wrote OHs CV..
Today, I feel a tidy coming on because it's drizzly and wet, so no frolicking in the garden today. And there's a lot to tidy. I mean, a really lot of lot.
I have some bricks to move out of the car at some point, and I also have to sort out where my painting accoutrements have disappeared to.
But a mostly lazy day for me..And I'll start after tea and toast
snoozer, happy new tv! SO, everything seems to take so much more time, but there is the tell us once thing for the gov if that's any help. They're really helpful on the deaths/probate etc board if you need any help. Speky, remember not to work insanely too late too often! Have a great weekend. AOD, good luck with the packing, get someone in the help if you need it. TA, good to hear it wasn't as bad as you feared. Holly, right back at you
dumpling, good news for Steve then! red ruby, I went there yesterday and didnt see anything like that but I id get a couple of solar lights to stop me falling off the narrow path.. SR, more craft stuff? Is it possible to have too much? [answer, noooo!!] enjoy your break camelot!Nelski, did you do posh properly yesterday?:) OL, as long as you're OK...Happy painting Hester...Happy DIYing nanny!
Special thanks to you all for all the support and talkings to and admonishments from you all

Morning, grey and wet here again.I was planning on going to town for a mooch as I've hardly been out this week but I don't think I'll bother! My CS stock of books is finished which is one of the reasons for going but I have a few on my kindle so it doesn't really matter, but I like a 'real' book for during the day and tend to keep the K for night time reading.
The house could do with a tidy, and I might put a few of the thicker coats up in the loft later.DGS Mummy has asked if I'll pick him up from school too.
SO,that seems to have taken a long time to get the medical cert x
Glad the service went ok TA
Hugs Elona
Stir fry for tea, will expect moaning and groaning from the menfolk

Early out this morning., Started what I thought would be a short grocery list last night .....it turned out to be a LONG list so will need to move fast.....OH likes to inspect everything closely, need to chivvy him on..
SO......thinking of you and hope that you get some help with all your chores.
Tried to renew my house. Insurance this morning, turns out that OHs hearing aids have not been covered , broker to get back to me as that is essential cover, I don't normally have the 6 thousand euro they cost in my back pocket!!
Have a good day everybody.

Hi chums been an odd sort of week. I had a fantastic day out with grandson Danny at Whitstable, after a long walk along the front we had delicious fish and chips as it was on his list of things he wanted to do whilst at home on holiday from America. Spent the whole day with him and his wife and his other Grandma and we all enjoyed ourselves .home in the evening and eldest DGD phoned to say she is having her second baby due fingers crossed at Christmas which I am really pleased about so it will be my second great grandchild so I am really chuffed
Yesterday after all the excitement I had a nurses appointment as I hadn't been for a check up for quite awhile and the very nice nurse looked at my records and said 'Hmm OK looks like they need updating, while your here we will do a blood test and I'll do your blood pressure
well after checking it three times and finding it was rather high she gave me a 12 hour fasting blood test which I did last night and went in at 7.00 this morning for the vampires to drag from my unyielding veins
Turns out where I normally had on the low side blood pressure it was not 189/95 which was a lot higher, plus as I am on the 'at risk cardiac register' she wasn't happy. So lifestyle changes are due
I am loaning my son-in-laws monitor and have to check it every two days for a fortnight and go back to see her towards the end of May.Naturally eldest DD went into overdrive about my rushing around lifestyle and I have been nagged to slow down a bit
yeah like thats going to happen :)Still I will change eating habits a bit and cut back on certain foodstuff
but life is for living and I think I would find it rather hard to slow down as I enjoy life and haring around is part of it I certainly can't grow old gracefully ,far too much to do
:)
I am off to Bath next week for a break and hope to get some nice fresh air and a bit of walking as well, so that will be fairly healthy at least,my friend who is coming with me is cooking and she is a veggie so it will be a meat free week, but I don't mind as I will eat almost anything
Right time for my DGS Henry to make his Gran a cuppa
Have a great weekend chums whatever you are doing enjoy, bit nippy here in Kent at the moment and not a lot of sunshine
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Ouch Jackiema that is really high. Time to do a bit more chilling me thinks thinks or I'll be down nagging you myself.
Late checking in today but it is with a smile on my face as I have finally pressed send on the job from hell workbook so its out of my hands now so pleased the weekend is mine again.
Took a break at lunch time today and a had a lovely pub lunch with my bestie. She's been really unwell and has lost a couple of close family members so has been out of action. She has finally got an op date although that has meant her going private and having to travel to Barcelona for the surgeon  She was so much more positive today as all her plans are now in place and she is hopeful for a full recovery
So I have an hour off now then back work for the evening. Weekend plans are nicely vague apart from a good bottom of the house.
taff all good on the call so will see what happens now hope you enjoyed a lazy day
nannyI wish we had a meat van locally I used to travel miles just to go to the one in Skipton.
Big hugs all from a happy workbook free OSer :j0
