Please explain how on earth the OP is supposed to establish that?
Seller: Hello Mr. Criminal, is this cash the proceeds of crime?
Buyer: Cor blimey gov'nor, that's me banged to rights and no mistake.
Is this how things work in your world?
I think the point being made is that you cannot know these things at the point of sale, so cash is not a "safe" way to accept payment.0 -
It's really sad that because people couldn't take care of their own accounts and not somehow be compelled to send money to fraudsters or random bank account details they made up or strangers on Facebook selling items they've never seen, that this question can't be answered with a "yes".
Now instead rather than being able to send money electronically, with a nice paper trail and surety that the money would get there, people have to withdraw thousands in cash and carry that around, because otherwise you can just call up your bank and say that you didn't actually want to send over the money you legitimately paid for a car and can you have it back please? and then the other person gets totally and royally screwed. Isn't that so much better?urs sinserly,
