we're after some cheap paint for wooden furniture, cheap as possible wheres best to look please?
Normal DIY shops, cheap shops (Wilko's and The Range etc) or somewhere else?

Go into a cheap shop and buy their own brand if you're after any old crap.0

What colour?
I found most shops only sell indoor furniture paint in white!
For coloured paint the cheapest I found was cuprinol garden shades from The RangeChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
If you try communityrepaint.org.uk there might be a local depot where you can pick up cheap paint and cheap unused remnants? Worth a look0
