After our Nationwide and Santander regular savers have matured, my husband and I have £10k to put somewhere. We have just opened up Natwest and First Direct accounts for the switch bonuses and the FD linked savers, which we will fill up, but where is best to put the 10k?
I have a couple of months remaining on maternity leave but we do survive on my husband's salary without dipping into our savings. But we're also considering buying a car within the next year so would like to keep the money fairly accessible. We have a credit card on 0% at around £6k, but this has another year of 0% so we're not in a rush to repay this.
Is the Marcus account the best place to put our money for now?

No help for the £10K but HSBC have a 5% RS linked to their Advance current account which doesn't have tedious DD hoops to jump through. It does require about £2K each month to pass through the account tho'.
That could be used to house £250 each month.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -
I just opened a Marcus savings account and its very simple process and transfer of cash received almost instantly.
BLME bank has a 1 year fixed savings account which pays 2.2% profit may be of interest to you.0
