Court fines - MC100 checks

I was in court last week and received a fine. It wasn't for parking but this is the closest board I can find.
Before I received the fine, I was given a MC100 to fill in. I wasn't expecting this and my solicitor hadn't mentioned it. I assumed that people were given fines and then argued if they could pay it. As I wasn't expecting one, I guessed at the figures before I handed in the form and I was given the fine.
The fact is, I could have paid more now that I know my true figures. I haven't had my court letter confirming the fine yet.
I am now stressing that the court will go away and check the figures and I will be hauled up for lying (I assume that they will want to see bills and payslips to confirm the figures I gave). If I had known about the MC100, I would have prepared the figures.
So does anyone know
1. How long it takes to get the letter confirming the fine
2. After you've been told what to pay in court, does the court go away and check your figures before it sends out the letter
Thanks

This forum majors on private parking invoices, and county court issues arising from them

The Legal Beagles forum might also be worth a look-in.
What was the ‘crime’?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
