It was a beautiful sunny day this morning so I decided to take all my jackets out of the hall cupboard and wash them. I had three jackets washed and hanging outside and another two in the machine when the heavens opened!!
Three jackets are now sullenly draped on an airer in the conservatory and another couple are waiting to go outside to dry tomorrow. Just glad I still have a jacket to wear later as I am going to middle DD's house as a couple of sofas are being delivered and she is in London.
The cleaner came round after two weeks away and replaced the light bulbs in my bedroom i could not quite reach and the house now looks much better.
Older DD is bringing the baby round tomorrow so I will be on my own with baby till her Dad picks her up at five. Usually DD works upstairs so I will feel like a learner driver out for the first time solo.
Yesterday was a sad anniversary so I got the bus to Whitby and saw and remembered places we took the children etc. I had fish and chips on a bench in the harbour, then walked round to the 199 steps and visited a couple of bookshops and had a pot of tea before getting the bus back. I was surprised to find Goathland railway station was used as Hogwarts station in the Harry Potter films.

Afternoon all
I've had a busy morning over the 'van, cleaning up the mess left by my workmen
. We put the cover back on too, but not until I got to play with the new mover :j.
I have done a load in the WM and there is another whizzing round. I shall put it out on the whirly, but it might not dry as we may have " a chance of showers ". I will dry it indoors if that happens.
I also emptied the DW and put a gammon joint in the slow cooker. We will have the gammon with chips and egg/peas for tea. I spoke to Dad last night after his trip, he was shattered, but he'd had a nice time, so I asked him to come for tea tonight if he was up to it.
taff I'm so happy for you. Now have a bit of a rest before you go all gung-ho again . That's an order my welsh butty

Good morning, and it's a grey and chilly one here, I don't think the forecast is wonderful ether.
I haven't posted for a couple of days, time seemed to get away from me.
TA, I hope you got through yesterday afternoon at the hospice, it would have been difficult for you.

Not much happening here - I'm meeting a friend who has some craft stuff for me that she no longer needs, and will visit a friend tonight.
