RBS bank account

Hi everyone, i'm looking for some advice if possible on a tricky issue
I'm an employee with Royal Bank of Scotland (in the insurance sector) and they want all employees to have their wage paid into an RBS group bank account (Natwest etc). I'm not too happy about it for a few reasons - mainly i'm not happy that they want to dictate where my money gets paid into! The company I work for was taken over by RBS after I started.
Also I am currently on a debt management plan with CCCS and have been for about 18 months. I'm concerned that because of this RBS will turn down any application to open a bank account within the RBS group because my credit score is below average. I don't really want my personal financial situation being discussed at work and am hoping I won't lose my job if they check my credit rating when I apply for an account.
Can anyone offer any advice at all ?
Thanks in advance.

If your credit rating is not too good the RBS will probably offer you a Key account which as you may know now has the Solo debit card function as standard.
My wife and I use RBS as our main bank and have several accounts with them and we are very satisfied with the customer service, in our opinion they are the best bank around.0 -
There is no issue re disciplinary if you are open because that is within the RBS Group Code of Conduct. I understand what you are saying but you can seek advice from HR Direct which are open 8 to 6 monday to friday I believe. They are independent and do not correspond with your line manager.0

Smells suspiciously like a Troll post??
And poster should be fully aware that it is a requirement of their employment that their financial affairs are conducted in an exemplary manner. And no doubt a similar condition pertained prior to the RBS takeover. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
