Hi all
After some advice re the below
I have 20k sitting in an ISA that's earned a measley 0.35%. What would members suggest for a better interest rate? Im happy to lock this away for a couple of years and also want to save £300 a month with easy access for holidays etc. Im a normal rate tax payer earning £1,800 post tax per month and will have a civil service pension Ive paid into since 2001 but no other except for the state penson and around 10k in 2 private pensions of 3k and 7k total each.
Im 57 have no debts and no mortgage and I'm looking to retire in about 5 years although I have no concrete plans as yet. Any advice welcome

Have you ever had a Nationwide Flexdirect current account?
You might deposit £2500 and earn 5% on it for a year.
The monthly deposit requirement is easily managed with an in/out faster payment.
You might consolidate your two small pensions into one and pay in as much as you can with a view to building a PCLS that could fund a good holiday when you retire.
You might look at Regular Savers - check terms and conditions.

You could look at ISA with a higher interest rate.
