Lloyds TSB Platinum

Amongst the junk mail on my doormat this morning was an invitation to apply for a Lloyds TSB Platinum card offering 0% on balance transfers for 9 months. I was going to start looking for a new credit card anyway as one of my stoozing cards will be coming to an end soon. I've never used Lloyds for anything so wondered if anybody has and feedback on this card? Any info is welcome!

I have LTSB card (not Platinum) and did a balance transfer 3 months ago - there was no BT fee.
If this is still the case with this card then seems to be a good deal IMO

I have had a LLoydsTSB Platinum card now for just under 2 years. Excellent card and excellent customer service. Highly Recommend it. :j0 -

Mr Smartsaver and me have one for 12 months @ 0%. 15k each offset against the mortgage...
Can't be bad
Snake666 feel sorry for you BUT you must have know what would happen if you kept spending. Not a reason to slate a card...0 -
I too had the 9 month offer sent to me. I couldn't resist it and, despite having obtained 3 other cards in the last couple of months, they have finally accepted me. Better still they matched my highest existing limit - so, yet another 5 figure sum on its way to the stooze pot.
Stoozing benefits...
* No BT fee if done within 6 weeks
* "0% for 9 months FROM THE TRANSFER DATE" (NOT the application date, NOT the activation date, NOT the card issue date) - this is a first for me.
* Min payments 2%
I'm happy with it.0 -
I've just closed my account with them. I did a 9 months 0% BT last year & they were great. My application was processed v quickly with no hassles at all. Never used the card for purchases though.
Now I am in the process of looking for a new 0% BT offer. How come Capital One plague me with junk mail when I don't want it, then as soon as I do - nothing through the door?0 -
I have also just cancelled my card with them. Not sure about balance transfers as I only had it for purchases. They were OK - had no problems with them, even though I only ever had to call them once.
I eventually decided to cancel as some of their T&Cs were changed: they removed some benefits like certain price guarantees, warranties and insurances which I thought was rather cheecky, especially as they have a rip-off 2.75% charge on foreign transactions and offer no other incentives like cashback and so on.
I found this PDF file on their web site which lists the summary of the card benefits. I think it refers to a 6 month 0% balance transfer though. Link0 -
LTSB had been my best stoozing card since I started. Highest credit limit (32k), and usually renewable when the offers end!
If you bank with them - definately worth a shout! To Stooze or Not To Stooze - Theres only one option0 -
Have banked with them for 50 years. Despite a humble income of £14K, they gave me a credit limit of £15k, despite having other cards at the time.
They are quick, efficient and no problems.
It was 0% for 9 months and BTs had to be done within first 6 weeks.
Go for it.0
