Velux window leak

Hi all,
We have a Velux skylight window in our loft conversion, which has become our kitchen. We've had a leak in our living room immediately below it via the remainder of the loft (don't try to envisage the flat's layout - it makes little sense!) From what we've read, we think there's an issue with the alignment of the window and that the sealing around it has deteriorated perhaps. It's been fine for a number of years - just now it's a problem and it's leaking slowly but consistently. Has anyone else had this experience? Is it quite an easy job for a good roofer? And what kind of costs should we be looking at? Because of where the leak is, directly under the skylight, that's what we believe the issue is - we don't want to be in a situation ideally where the whole roof needs work. From what we've read, it's easy to do and doesn't need significant work.
Cheers!
