End terrace or semi-detached?

We have an end terrace and always put it as such. If that is not an option we put terraced.

Two semi-detached houses in the street, No. 1 and No. 2, next door and joined together.
It's not unnusual for an isolated pair of cottages (built 1911) to be called a terrace.

I have contents insurance on my end-terrace house with LV. The first year I listed it as ‘terraced’ but upon renewal, I was speaking to them on the phone and they said they classed it as a semi. The lady made a big deal of it and gave me a bit of a lecture on how I should have known and answered questioned honestly. I started panicking about them voiding the policy or some other trouble. In the end it was ok, apart from a slightly increased premium.

If I swap companies in future, I wouldn’t take any chances. I’ll ring up and ask them how they want me to classify it.
