Princes trust fairbridge course

My daughter has enrolled on the fairbridge course with the princes trust.
Does anyone know if I can still claim child benefit/tax credits for her on this course?

On their website it states you should speak to HMRC.

What will happen to my benefits?
We have an agreement with the Jobcentre Plus (JCP), so if you’re on unemployment benefits you can continue to receive these while on the programme.
However, it’s really important that you tell us before you start the programme so we can let you know how it works. Alternatively, you can speak to your Jobcentre Plus Adviser.
Please also be aware that our agreement with the Jobcentre Plus relates to your benefits only. If your parents or guardians are concerned that their own benefits or tax credits may be affected by you enrolling on a Prince’s Trust programme, they should talk to HMRC.
  • Has anyone any first hand experience of this course?
  • I don't think so. Needs to be approved education or training, see:
    https://www.gov.uk/child-benefit-16-19
Probably best to phone child benefit and ask
  • I rang child benefit this evening and they told me yes they are an approved training educator .
Thanks everyone for your advice .
