Refund of Charger - Suspicious PLEASE HELP!

Hi all,
I have received a letter from:

LLOYDS BANK
Customer service solution center
PO box 1117
cardiff, CF11 1UQ
TEL No 0800027 1311

The first bit of the letter reads like this:

"REFUND REMINDER
We wrote to you recently enclosing a cheque for the sum of £542.55
Our records show you have not yet cashed the cheque.........."

This is for a loan that went into default and was sold on. I was wondering has anybody else come across this and is it legit.

I have rang lloyds and they dont recognise the number (But to be honest most of the team cant tell the different between black and white). I have seen people have been getting these kind of refunds when tier accounts were sold to Lowell (Which my loan was).

Please any information to this matter would be really helpful !!

Did you make a PPI complaint yourself about this? If so, the money appears to be yours. If not, you should check with your Debt Relief provider before cashing the cheque...
