One of the contacts I have who sends regular emails attachs an attachment but I do not get it. I used to get the attachments from this person.

I have no problem receiving them from other people.

Is it possible my email service is suddenly blocking the attachments from this person and how do I fix it?

Using Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mail

Maybe they are now larger than your email provider's email size limits?

Doe the sender get any messages after failing to send the email to you?

What's the file extension? .txt .doc. ? Should be ok. If txt could put them in the email body.

You didn't answer the question - does the sender get any bounceback messages?

    ^^ As above.
Emails don't just disappear .. Either the sender will get an NDR , or you will get a message letting you know that X has blocked an email intended for you ..

Who is your email provider ?

Although I think you are more knowledgeable than me in these matters, I often get mails from my personal (1&1) address that 'just disappear', especially to hotmail accounts

I've certainly have had emails vanish totally.
My email provider's global "obvious spam" filter was rejecting them at the point of entry and black holing them as its called giving no bounce back to the sender - who was a bank sending out monthly notices of statements!
They then changed their global spam settings and the problem vanished

Another case was me sending out bulk (around 60) emails to people on a circulation list. All MS related email destinations were not getting them and I got no bounce back reply - vanished without trace.
