Combi Condensing Boiler - is this normal?

Had a Vokera combi-condensing boiler installed a couple of years back - and have always wondered about it's operation.

It seems to keep firing up, then cutting off, then firing up again like 30 seconds later. Is this a normal attribute for this type of boiler, or could there be something up?

Is it a unique feature of condensing boilers then, as I don't recall my regular combi doing the same thing?

The reason I say its normal is because I have a Vokera combi boiler and it does say in the instructions that it fires up evey now and again to maintain the temperature. Mine seems to fire up quite often. If you have still got your instructions have a look.

I was thinking this wasnt normal but now i see. I think yours has a hot water loop that keeps a certain amount of water at a given temperature so it takes less time to deliver the hot water when required. Haven't seen one in a while but i guess they are still available.
