Morning!! The tree is now minus a few branches, I only did one though and half of the other, the OH finished it off. Stripped one branch of it's end bits, need to strip them off the other one now [ which is actually two branches in one] so a bootful of bits to go to the dump afterwards.
Wombled some stone edging bits, am hoping to cement them into a bed of some sort in the future.
Finally planted out the rhubarb that's been in a pot for two years [ I even split it in the secnd year to give to someone else], and I have ordered a fatsia and a couple of cypresses. Forgot to sow beans/cucs etc so that is the plan today after I've moved the toms and celery outside.
I also filled the bed with compost on top of the cardboard and dug out some dandelions. I'm also surprised I don't have a black eye. I switched the hose on to wet the cardboard, but there was a blockage of some kind, so I pulled it off the tap to check it out and of course the pressure had built up in it, so where did I direct it just before I realised this? Yep, straight in my eye. THAT woke me up for sure....:)
Garden still looks like poo but one day [ I live in hope] it will all magially come together at the last minute and look fab.
I have been instructed to make a design on paper so the OH can understand what I mean when I say things will be going somewhere...He has a hard time visualising things.
Speky, no not really, the almond essence helps them taste of something else. And yes, i watched it. Intense huh? No spoilers from me this time in case...TA, I think you'll be OK, it's a nice way to remember him in the company of your family, helps because sometimes, it can feel as if it' all been forgotten about, which can be worse. SO, how are you doing? Are you getting help from anyone? Shoring up hugs. Nelski, I've been packed for hours! Where were you? Oh yeah...Bridgend...:) Fortitude on time travel Morries day. Jackie, have a lovely day tomorrow and thanks for reminding me I have to do some washing too..Hester, I used to have an exl like that. I finally gave up caring about his rages [ about anything and nothing] and let him get on with it. Lot less stressful for me [ of course, I left hime though, but that was about something completely different]..Holly, seconded leave the housework alone, dust doesn't kill....I'm only doing the washing because I've run out of stretchy tops. Lainey, enjoy your day.

SO, I hope things go smoothly for you.
TA, hugs.
Hester, I'm sorry you are going through it, take care and try not to work too hard at stroke club.
Jackie, enjoy your day out.
Nelski, my Chris goes back to Bridged today, he's only got a few more weeks working there before he comes home, he can't wait.
Steve had chemo yesterday, now they know he doesn't have a reaction to the drug some people react to they've turned the drip up. The first time he had it we were there till 5pm (from 9am) yesterday we left at 1pm.
We got a new TV yesterday, it's huge! Steve wanted an OLED one and they don't make them in smaller sizes. I do like the fact that there is only a thin edge around the screen though and the picture is exceptional. The old one had started to go funny - green fuzzies on back things and squares appearing in the picture.
I want to sew today to finish the top of the baby quilt I am making and then tidy my sewing/dining room. I'm hopeless at tidying as I go along because I always seem to need the thing I've put away.0 -

SO hope you are doing ok x
Hester sorry you had a bad day & hope today is better for you both.
Speky hope Gran gets better soon.
Nelski may all DM bananas be perfect today.

Its lovely outside this morning.I had an awful nights sleep,my stomach was gurgling like madI don't think I'll be doing much today , and will just stick some breaded fish in for tea.
I went out for coffee and cake yesterday with my old neighbour and a bit of shopping in TKMxx.She bought a new tablecloth and a cookbook,me - nothing! DGD was at ours when we got back,DS was fitting an extra visit in as she can only stay an hour on Wednesday before she goes away with her other Gparents.
We havent seen the council birdman visiting the nests, but no one turned up to start the path at the back either. Our dividing trellis where the nests are is covered in clematis about to flower so hope they stay away longer before it has to be taken down. The offending shed next door but one is now down and I think the grumpies next door are now realising how exposed they are, numpties
TA hard decision,hugs
Hope you all have the best day you can x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Good afternoon everyone
I have spent this morning trying to sort out the end of month finances, but can't seem to concentrate on it. I think I'm probably just not in the right mood.
I am so looking forward to the warmer weather, I want to go out rather than feel stuck in all the time but seem to be feeling the cold all the time. I'm not sure that I'm up to going that far yet either. I'm also wondering if I've lost a bit of confidence as well which is a bit worrying.
The housework sort of got done. I shifted some dust around a bit, and left it at that. The only plans I have for the rest of the day are reading and making something for dinner later.
TA that was a difficult decision to have to make x
taff good luck for your final treatment tomorrow.
snoozer it's good that the chemotherapy is going better for Steve now after the difficult start to his treatment.
JackieO enjoy yourself tomorrow, surprise outings are great.
Nelski I hope that your mum isn't being too difficult today and that you get in and out of Morrisons quickly.
Hester hopefully today will be a better day and the boat move will go ok.
nanny I hope that today is going better for you than yesterday.
Silver-Oldie I hope that your son is helping you with the arrangements. Take care of yourself x
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.0 -
Hello campers !! Hi-di-Hi
I don't know why I'm so chipper today as Mr Fix It has been "on" one. He couldn't make a decision so he asked the oracle....... me, and then didn't like my answer . I realise it's only the meds talking as his oncology injection is due next week. He was never this way before the cancer, he was always so calm, kind and gentle.
Anyway I have booked an appointment with the GP about my face as something is still not right ( no sarky remarks please :rotfl: ) as Sherlock ( dentist ) is completely dumbfounded, but at least I know it isn't teeth/gum related .
This morning we have been to the 'van to take the cover off as Mr Fix It and his birthday friend will be working on it tomorrow, if the rain holds off. They are fitting a new mover because we are finding it harder to move by hand. ( old age and declining health being the main factors). We went on to Morries to get some things that I'd forgotten yesterday :doh:and to buy some cake and a box of chocs for the birthday boy. On the way home we called in DD's to deliver a parcel and let Jasper out to spend a few pennies. Finally diverted to the chip shop (oops ! must have been a sat nav error
) for a chippy lunch
. No tea for me to cook today, but we will have the strawberries leftover from last night with some cream :j
This afternoon we have done a tip trip as I was drowning in polystyrene packaging every time I opened the shed door . I shall wash the floor in the outside toilet next and then get the summer clothes down from the top of the wardrobe and have a sort through, as Mr Fix It has finally booked us a holiday in May ( can't wait but have a million of things to do/sort first)
SilverOldie I am sending you as much strength and support that you want / need. Hugs-a-plenty too xx
Hester you have my sympathies about CHS. It's very hard to deal with the change in personality because of illness.
Nelski my bug-out-bag is always on alert . They don't call me Eveready for nothing you know :rotfl:. Hope today with Mum was ok..ish. :A
TA I hope next week turns out as well as you need it to. Enjoy your day out today.
JackiO enjoy your time away and your mystery day out. Have fun, but not too much mind.
dp1 I hope your DD is better.
Rosyred hope the grumpy ones get what they deserve. Karma and all that.
Hugs to all the poorly people, those undergoing treatment or struggling.
Right I'd better crack on while Mr Fix It checks out the inside of his eyelids, at least he's not moaning now :rotfl:.

Afternoon all This morning we tok the shopping trollet to Home Bargains and Lidl. We bought mealworms to feed the birds and bits and pieces including lovely big aubergines 39p each. I want to make moussaka but no lamb mince to be had. I have asked DS to pop over to M&S after work to see if they have some. I moved this week's Tosco order to Thursday then DD wants to come for tea that day and can I make moussaka? Aargh ! I like to put the meat in the slow cooker so need it before the order arrives. Oh well first world problems.
TA hope the event as the hospice is healing for you and your family. SO hope the artangement making goes smoothly. HH hope today is better. Is CHS worried about the HR meeting? Holly H hugs. You will be fine going out when Summer tempts you. Gers glad Mum is eating and is getting her plate looked at.
JackieO if you fancy a meet up in Bath John and I can hop on the bus which stops round the corner from us in Bristl as we live on the Bath
Side and get there quite easily.
Well have a good afternoon folks.
