Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, wasn't sure where to put it.
Got a call, man asked if I was "my name", I didn't answer, asked who he was, he said he was calling from "gave a name" and that my annual report from "gave a company's name" was going to be delayed until June, did I still want a hard copy and was I still at the same address, he starts saying my address. Call ends.
I didn't give any information, he already knew my name, address and that I had shares in a particular company.
I guess I've confirmed said info.
Called the company in question. Nothing to do with them. They wouldn't phone me. Obviously.
Reported to Action Fraud.
How worried should I be, what actually is the scam given they already had the info?

Ask the company if they have a procedure for when someone's details are compromised, e.g. stronger verification for anyone trying to control your account (or whatever it is , you didn't give any details).0
