To be fair, most parents don’t have to find 6 grand to have a baby. If they did the population would be much much smaller!

That said, OP it may be best to make your peace with the situation. Your chances are tiny even if you raise the funds (I don’t believe the clinic can really give you better odds than you’d have in the UK unless they are stuffing loads of embryos in there which would be a terrible idea as there’s no way you can afford to risk multiples!)

You and your daughter can have a lovely life together and adding another baby and more debt would just make it tougher, financially, practically, emotionally.

My mum is an only child as her mum had multiple miscarriages but my mum was close to her cousins and extended family growing up and now she is 70 with 3 children and a husband and grandchildren so we are her family.

You (and I) may not be able to give our children a sibling but they have family and they will (hopefully) have their own families and friends in the future for support.

Probably best to focus on the children we have and give them the best life possible.
