I am sorry I have no idea, from what I have read on here MBNA are not the nicest of credit firms to upset my gut instinct would be unless you are pretty sure they cannot produce one I wouldn't upset them. But that is purely going on the bad deal quite a few people have had.

National debthelpline are pretty good with answering questions like that and there advice is repeated on here loads so why not give them a ring see what they say?

Can somebody please answer this (it got lost in all the bickering) because I would like to know the answer to this!!! :p

It should NOT give MBNA the right to demand full and immediate payment. In fact Credit Card Companies are among the worst offenders when it comes to cca's - they rarely are able to provide one, and will often try to use a copy of the application form, which is NOT a cca, instead.
You are entitled to ask for a copy of the original signed cca and if MBNA are unable to provide you with one, within the legal time-frame, then the agreement becomes irideemably unenforceable.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
