    Morning all

Thanks for the thread nmlc and hugs to all those in need.

After not sleeping well for: over a week I slept for 11 hours last night.

Today I need to make 30 portions of peach upside down cake for the stroke club CHS attends, they lost their cook to financial cut backs, I'm making cottage pie tomorrow for them.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all.

Another busy morning for me, however I have managed to both source and arrange for a dentist to visit DM in hospital. She has struggled to eat since first admission back at the start of March, mostly because her new dental plate needed adjustment. Her own dentist doesn't do domicillary visits and getting the NHS service to organise anything was like running through treacle.

Now a dentist local to the latest hospital is going in to assess what needs done tomorrow at lunchtime! :j

Now I'm getting myself sorted to visit!

I hope that everyone is doing well -thoughts to SO and her family.

    Happy Monday to all.

    Hello all,
Having a bit of a 'mare of a day today :(. ( and it's not over yet as I have the dentist again this afternoon for more exploratory research ..... think I'll have to start calling her Sherlock :rotfl:)
First we tried to get to the GP surgery to book an appointment and put in his script....... there was a notice on the gate that they were shut because they had a water leak. So we trundled up to the big surgery in town and all ok. On to Li*l for some vacuum bags and into B&Q for a row with a builder who accused us of queue jumping at the checkout ! He hadn't noticed that half the shop had already gone in front of him while he was scrolling through his phone, oblivious to everything .
We finally made it to Al*is to find they are expanding the shop and everything is in chaos, then home to Dad frantically ringing every phone that we have. Thinking the worse, he just wanted to inform us that the builders had arrived to fix his roof. Didn't want us to do anything, but thought we should know straight away. And breathe.........
Other than that it's a lovely day :rotfl:.
Tea tonight will be a shop bought lasagne and some garlic bread, something quick and easy as we may be latish home from the dentist, because as lovely as she is boy can she talk the hind legs off a donkey, thus every appointment is always late. As mine is at 3pm, I'll probably get in her chair about 4.15 :rotfl:.

Dumpling please wish your Steve good luck for his op. Take care of yourself too.
taff yes still decluttering. I'm fed up of keeping things for "justin " :rotfl:. I don't want my DD to have to trawl through a myriad of useless stuff ( well as little as possible ) when the inevitable happens. I know I will have to do it when Dad goes because he won't get rid of anything, especially some of DM's things and she's been gone 5 years. Hey ho, it is what it is, I suppose !
Hester Are you making the cake on your new boat ? Could you make and extra one for me, pleeeease :D
Nelski it's got to be Bridgend, hasn't it ? Actually as things are going for me today anywhere would be good. Count me in :T

I hope everyone is having a better day than me..... that won't be hard :D.
    Take care all
    nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently

Morning everyone...I'm in bed feeling yucky. Woke up at half 1 feeling a bit not right and started being sick...ended up with awful pains so a day off for me. Not good timing as I'm in charge at work at the moment as my boss is off....so a lot of delegating early this morning, when I just wanted to lie and feel sorry for myself. Everything seem at have been fine this morning. Just had a cup of tea, slice of toast and a banana....hopefully they'll stay in my tummy!
Can't remember who asked about DD....she has tablets to take and has to go to the doctor...I'm hoping she'll get regular monitoring.
Dumpling....I find cacti are the only indoor plants that survive for me! I'm not bad at growing plants outside though.
Eldest DD moved into her new little house just outside Stockholm at the weekend....Its the cutest little house ever....perfect for one person. I think she'll be happy there.
Hope everyone has a good day
