Driving through No entry at London City Airport

I wonder if somebody can advise me please. tonight I went to pick up somebody as an uber driver in LCY. but satnav and uber app took me through exit way (No entry signs were displayed). I got told off by security guys and also they said I will be receiving three points. as I was coming through the exit these guys showed me the big long camera on the sky pointing to the signs (No Entry). I am wondering is it possible or did anybody receive any point just to enter through wrong way. I am talking about airport. Thanks you.

Next time use your eyes instead of your satnav/uber app or do us all a favour and stay off the road.

No points just a big fine. Its hard to go the wrong way there, the security guards, construction banksman and the taxi rank attendants make it nearly impossible, regardless of signage. You've done well. Bet the security guards got you to look up at the camera too. That's so it captures your face.;)

OP - ignore the jobsworths at the airport. You may get a so-called penalty charge which, depending on the advice on the parking thread, you can either ignore or contest. I think parking companies have particular problems stealing motorists' money in connection with airport parking/driving. Go to this thread and ask for advice.

Yes, they were security guard as it says on their car. the guys were not dressing police uniform.
