Dealership where I bought my 2nd hand car is being closed - what are my rights?
Hi everyone, 2 weeks ago I bought a second hand car from a Listers group dealership. The branch I bought it from is now closing down and I haven’t received any clear answers with what I should do if something goes wrong with the car. I have a 6 month warranty with the car - would this transfer to any Listers branch?
Is there anything else I should be aware of?
Ps I bought the car outright, not on finance.
Thanks

i would imagine the warranty will transfer. You could always contact their head office. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Is it a franchise? May have a bearing.0

Read the warranty. It'll almost certainly be from a third-party insurer, rather than from the dealer group.
Your consumer rights are against the legal entity operating the dealership. If the specific site is simply a part of a larger multi-site company, great. If it's a single limited company, not so great.0
