Manydown Development Gypsy Sites FTB

Hi all,
My husband and I recently found a property we're really excited about buying. After doing our research we've discovered that there's a huge development happening across the railway tracks, called Manydown(We're looking at a property in RG22 5DU)
Upon further investigation of the development outlined plans (250 acre park, housing, new schools etc), there are going to be 5 Gypsy and Traveller permanent pitches to be set up within this development (no specified area for these pitches on the plans yet....) So we're naturally very concerned as there was a mention that they may be around the west/south of the development which is only separated from our intended property by a railway line. There are also discussions of making a railway crossing so even that potential
Any information or advice would be so much appreciated as the last thing we want to do is sink all our money, with two toddlers, into what we think is our dream home only to have it turn into a nightmare. Is there any help or people who could advise us, please, please!
Thank you

You have sesnsibly investigated the surounding area and come across these development plans.
Now that you you know of them, you must decide whether they are going to (or may) adversly affect you in the future, and whether you wish to proceed or look elsewhere.0 -
From satellite pictures it looks as if this isn't a good area of Basingstoke anyway so you won't lose anything by looking for a house in a better area.0

I regularly work on traveller sites and although many many of the people there are decent honest people, I have to be honest and say I wouldn't buy a house by them. if the site ends up being near you it will always be an issue when selling in the future regardless of what other people may sayAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0
