monzo card /revolut

Options
i have both a monzo card and a revolut card thinking they might be useful for online purchases, separate budgeting pots, bitcoin investing, sending money to friends for splitting takeaways - random things like that, which high street banking didn't seem so 'easy' for.

now i am thinking that maybe having both of these new style cards perhaps wasn't such a great idea?... becuase they now both are essentially additional bank accounts on my credit file. does it now look like i have a load of current accounts? and therefore a bit fast and loose with my money management?..... or is this a normal thing for younger people these days to do? have lots of newer style app-based card accounts?

Most people don't engage in bitcoin investing or use their online banking to send money to friends for splitting the cost of takeaways.
Yes it now looks as if you have a few current accounts. Not sure how many you actually have though. Two is certainly not excessive.
Who exactly do you think is going to care how many current accounts you have except perhaps HMRC?

I find the normal high street banks are easy for making online purchases, sending money to friends for splitting takeaways.

Maybe a card like Revolut would be a better option but you don't get protection like a credit card.

Revolut won't appear on your credit reports.

In my case, Monzo only appears on my TransUnion/Callcredit/Noddle report.

I have over twenty bank accounts. I think it makes diddly squat difference to lenders and creditors how many I have.

Having overdraft facilities, especially if used, might sway them. An overdraft is a line of credit.

Bitcoin is weird sure, but that last part is very normal, especially if you're younger.

How else are you going to split the cost of takeaways without cash, which a lot of people don't carry now. It's either bank transfer or PayPal.
