Gear thread maths text books

Hi everyone,

I apologise if this is the wrong board for this question, but it seemed like the best fit.

I've started a new job this month where I need to make use of my Revised Higher (Scottish A level) maths, but since it's been about 20 years since I last used that knowledge, I'm a little bit rusty on it :o

Okay, the job involves maintaining an application that works out the spec for a gear thread in order for it to be machined, and a lot of it is stuff I'm probably already familiar with, but haven't used for a long time, so I was wondering if anyone might have some ideas on books I could borrow from the library to help me out?

I was thinking of something like "gear thread maths For Dummies" in that it explains the concepts and maths clearly - I do have some notes, documents and articles, but not all of the design documentation (yet - I will be asking for it).

Many thanks in advance :D

(Note to board guides: please feel free to move if this is the wrong board.)
