Argos Card Help please

Hi all,

I had an Argos Card I defaulted on a few years back, this is no longer on my credit file.

However, I received a letter saying the account has been sold to Capquest, and I need to make a payment arrangement with them.

My question is, will Capquest add this back on my credit file under their name now and include any payments i'm making?

I defaulted on five credit accounts a few years back, the accounts are shown as closed on my credit file but with balances, which I'm hoping to get full and final settlements on. Thanks

If the default is more than 6 years old, it will not reappear, unless a CCJ is obtained.

Thank you for your reply. I thinks it's 3-4 years old the same as my others defaults.

It was strange that Argos removed it from my credit file, but passed the debt to Capquest who sent me the letter which I acknowledged and came to a payment arrangement with. Can Capquest put it back on my credit file?

Yes they can, with the same default date.
