I received a letter today from my mortgage company with all of the documents relating to my house. According to the covering letter the Land Registry now hold the information electronically so the bank do not need to keep the paper copies.
Does anybody have any (polite) suggestions of what I should do with these? Is it still important that they are kept safely? Should I ask a bank / solicitor etc to look after them (at a cost) or is it OK to keep them safely at home?

Some of these documents might still be called upon when you sell!
Some banks will keep a package in their strong room for a small fee

Ask the solicitor who did your conveyancing if they offer a free deeds storage service. Lots of them do.0
