Recovery to the supplying dealer will be at your expense, the dealer has no obligation to undertake or pay for the recovery.
Why oh why do people travel half the length of the country to purchase a vehicle that they could obtain from a reasonably local source? 200 miles each way is ridiculous. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Nothing is wrong with buying cars from a distance at all. I have purchased 2 cars from south coast dealers and one in Huddersfield travelling from Glasgow. As long as you confirm any warranty issues are covered nationwide by the manufacturer not the dealer.Recovery to the supplying dealer will be at your expense, the dealer has no obligation to undertake or pay for the recovery.

On most warranties, any issues. Used car warranties only cover parts that never go wrong. Anything else is either wear-and-tear or a pre-existing fault. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
you bought it on HP so also involve the finance co, they are as liable as the supplying garage.0

You mean you confirm that the manufacturer warranty is valid? Well, it is for this car.sheslookinhot wrote: »As long as you confirm any warranty issues are covered nationwide by the manufacturer not the dealer.
It's just that this issue has been rejected as a warranty issue. Not that the warranty has been rejected. Which is why it's now a consumer rights question.
And the consumer rights apply against the supplier.0
