Oh no Laura, that's horrible - was it insured? (((hugs)))

Stu's working until about 2pm, so I'm at home with the kids, Natasha is still coughing and throwing up, and Ryan is in a weird mood and throwing tantrums on the hour, every hour....sigh......

I really need to do some Christmas shopping - I can't think of anything to buy for Stu at all, and I can only spend £20, because we've agreed not to buy each other much this year.

    How's everyone else this morning?

I had the same with DD early this week all tummy achy and throwing up it seems to be doing the rounds.

    No bike not insured

The gift companies through quidco seemed to have a lot of good gift ideas when I last looked for less than 20 quid??

    Hi folks!

Laura - such a shame about your bike. Have you reported it to the police? My parents were burgled 11 years ago and several item were recovered from car boot sales (and the local crack addicts house) by the police (sadly after the insurance company had paid out and we'd replaced the items:mad:.

IA - hope you have a good day at work. Is it still exciting in a new way or is it 'just a job' average to boring?

Snaggles - no idea about pressies for you hubby. To be fair I've given Wayne £40 and told him to buy things that I'll wrap and give to him, but we each have £10 to spend on the other person and I haven't got a clue (mainly cos £10 buys so little).

I'm going to hit the German Christmas Christkindelmarkt in Leeds next week to get ideas but I've now only got a handful of people to buy for:j

My husband isn't really known for being savvy with money (that's why he took a loan out with a 48% interest rate). His mobile phone at £35 a month has been a bone of contention for the past year but last night I got home from work and he said that he'd got himself a new phone £15 a month, 18 month contract that based on his current usage he should be ok with. guess this means I can get a contract mobile for up to £20 a month and we'll be paying no more than we were beforehand!:j :j

I'll be looking through quidco to see what I can get money back on as well!

    Hope everyone is ok, Cat.x

  • Got a bit of a headache.

Had a row with the OH this morning. He got 'shouty' over something very simple. I said something general and he ripped into me for not being pedantically accurate - how long I'd wanted the hallway to have laminate flooring (1 year) rather than how long I'd had the laminate flooring in the first place (3 years) - I said I'd been waiting for him to do the hallway 3 years.......apparently I was incorrect - I've owned the flooring for 3 years, it has only been 1 year since I changed my mind from wanting it used in the bedroom and now want it in the hall:rolleyes: .......and I'd just had enough.....I think he realised he had cocked up as he was a bit more humble by the time he went.

Been working on AQA but after crying (during row) I feel tired and can't be bothered to do anymore.

Did a mystery shop - £5.50 for a 5 minute call to a bank. Easy money!

Reserved the website domain I've wanted for ages for if I ever get around to starting my own business. Done the home page and the basics of the Contact/About Me page etc, but unless I have a product there ain't much point in making it 'live'! At least it's a step in the right direction. I keep thinking - I could never start a busines, but surely I can? I guess I'd need to take the plunge and spend some money which is what scares me - however little I have to spend to start up.
