If I were them I would be researching this to death(pun intended) and seeking professional advise as needed.
Once away from the basics of traditional ownership and savings there is a lot more knowledge needed to extract the best from the assets while living and in death situations.
Surprised the father has not got the basics documented and communicated to family.0 -
