Regular income from investment lump sum

I will be getting a tax fre lump sum from my DB pension in a few months time of around £100k. I would like to invest it and take a regular/monthly income from it. Ideally I'd like to get about £300/month whilst protecting its capital value as far as possible. Can anyone suggest a suitable vehicle for this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

3.6% is quite achievable with an equity/bond portfolio but its capital value would not be protected. Cash would protect your capital but wouldn't achieve £3,600 pa. Something will have to give0
