PPI - Credit Unions ??

You wouldn't reclaim it.
You'd put in your mis-selling complaint as with any other lender.
Do you have good complaint reasons?0 -
Did you even have PPI on these loans?
You can complain it was miss-sold if you did but seems unlikely a credit union would be selling PPI. What evidence do you have to support your complaint it was miss-sold?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Regardless, I would be very surprised if you had PPI sold to you by a Credit Union. As you say, credit unions assist the community by keeping cost and interest low and affordable. As such, the add-on cost of insurance would be unlikely to have been offered and even less likely to have been mis-sold.0 -
Ok. Firstly, PPI was sold by Voyager, and added as a matter of course, or seemed to be, so I'd say yes, mis-sold. And apologies for the lack of correct wording. Would be interested to hear some advice and maybe people's experience instead of being shot down for my lack of nous. That's why we join these forums0

The advice remains the same.
You send in a complaint giving your mis sale experiences. With.PPI, the experience of others is irrelevant.0 -

No-one has shot you down, you've been told you need to show you had PPI and explain your complaint reasons and provide evidence. PPI was not added "as a matter of course", you were always offered it as a choice, if you agreed, you had it, if not, you didn't. PPI cannot be added without your agreement as it would either be a separate monthly payment or added on the loan meaning your total was higher. Either way, your signature was required.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

No one has shot you down. You are misinformed and people have tried to help you. Perhaps you should try another forum where you will be told incorrectly what you want to hear.

Whilst PPI was sold by many credit unions, they are widely regarded as good value for money and have a very low uphold rate with the FOS - you would need some rather compelling ‘mis-sale’ reason to succeed.0
