Replacement door latch on cannon cooker.

Cannon C50GKWF Gas Cooker with Double Oven White FFSD Keswick. The main oven door is not closing properly I think I need a door latch. Just contacted repair and have been quoted £125 to have it fix. It seems to be that particular model the latch could be accessed from the front main oven door. In that case it might be a simple fix if I do not have to remove any side panels. Is this something I could easily do myself. Thanks

Look for parts online, for example:
    https://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/brands/cannon/cookers-hobs/c50gkwf/

The reviews seem to think it's possible.

The latch also went on my Cannon which is the 60cm version of yours (my fault) 5 years ago and Cannon wanted £120 then to fix it - or Cannon said I could sign up for a maintenance plan for a year also costing £120 and get it fixed. This is what I did and paid monthly. I watched the repair man and he took off the side and the front which was no easy job.

I had two quotes to replace latch. Call out charge £40 + vat, repair £40+ vat + spare part. Another one quoted £44 + vat + spare part. My usual washing machine engineer repairs electric cooker but not gas came to have a look and told me he can do it for £52. It looked simple enough I removed the screw from front door to have a go and it fell at the bottom. No option but to call him he came and got a hook like a long coat hanger hook the handle and replace it the same way. Spent about 10 mins but he knows what he was doing. £52 is better than £120.
