Bathroom wall panels

Planning a small bathroom renovation and heard a few people mention wall panels that fit up flush to one another, and look very minimalistic
Anyone got any opinions on them? Good or bad?

I used Splashpanels from Bathstore. I've had them for about 3 years and am very happy with them. I used them on one wall and for the bath panel to create a feature, with tiles on the other walls. I used the Zebrawood pattern placed horizontally to make the bathroom appear wider.

I recently redid a small shower room with grosfillex tile-effect wall panels and they are smashing

Cannot recommend enough that wall panels are the way to go :money:
NO MORE HANDWASH GLITCHES PLEASE :D:D

We've had ours up for a few years now and I love them.
They're much easier to keep clean than tiles plus they seem to insulate the bathroom better so it's warmer too.
From memory there are lots of types from cheaper all-plastic hollow boards to mega-expensive board-backed laminates.
We went middle-of-the-road but like I said, a few years later and we've not had a single problem.

I had panels put in when redid my bathroom, couldn't honestly tell you what make but would recommend. No grout to get dirty/mouldy. No wonky tiling. Easy clean.

We've been told those with marine ply backing are worth the extra.

Like many things, how well they're fitted will affect the service life. Our fitter is very particular about which glues and sealants he uses on these and wouldn't let us purchase them.

We've gone for a very striking rock face design, which means the rest of the room has to be more muted. Many people we know seem to have gone for the sparkly ones, but we're fed up playing safe and it's only us who will use it anyway.

I wanted the spit face rock but have to have a white washed wood as a compromise.I love the clean look of the shower panels but the bathroom fitter doesn't rate them at all over tiles. we've yet to fit as our's fitter is booked up till September.

Could be because they take less skill to install and yield less profit for the installer.
