Marbles credit card

My ex partner took a credit card out with marbles in my name and ran up charges on it and was never intending to pay much or anything towards this. I knew about this after a length of time and soon after we seperated. Decided to raise this with them as fraud, not with the intention of getting money back or to wipe the charges. But with the intention of getting proof it was not me that done it, i want her to suffer for what she has done.
Anyway's called the fraud team and they said that I allowed my wife to speak on the account, i got pretty angry at this and they closed the fraud case. However i asked for proof of the call, also known as a SAR. Now they said i would get the calls as well as the notes. Guess what, i only got the note and not one part of the notes did it say that i gave her permission to talk on the account. I also called them back and asked for the calls on the account. They never came. I have now paid the account off myself but still want to raise this as an issue. My credit rating is messed up to. There has been no great service from Marbles (newday) to actually help me investigate anything. I just wish i could write to marbles head office to vent my frustration and ask them why they did not supply the evidence to help me build a case when they said they would. They kind of also have lied to me in regards to who was authorised on the account as they then told me later on that my name was the only one on the account.

You need to report it to ActionFraud.
Though this will lead to criminal implications against the other part involved.0 -

You've started multiple threads about this. You should keep your posts in one thread.moneyman_34 wrote: »My ex partner took a credit card out with marbles in my name and ran up charges on it and was never intending to pay much or anything towards this. I have now paid the account off myself...
What does 'I knew about this after a length of time and soon after we seperated' mean?
It can be read as meaning you knew about the fraud before you separated.moneyman_34 wrote: »Anyway's called the fraud team and they said that I allowed my wife to speak on the account, i got pretty angry at this and they closed the fraud case. I've had an Aqua card from NewDay for a few years. I've never spoken to them via a phone call.
I think it's quite rare for customers to talk to their card provider.
Why would someone who's taken out a card fraudulently want or need to talk to the card provider?
The fraud wasn't against you. It was against NewDay. They've got their money back, so they're happy. What they're faced with now is an irate husband who's going through a messy divorce and wants to make his wife "suffer".
This type of fraud is difficult to prove, especially when it isn't reported at the earliest opportunity, there isn't an admission and the account has been settled.0 -
why did you pay it back when it wasnt your debt?
have you asked them for a copy of the signed credit agreement from when the card was taken out? you would then be in a position to tell them if it was or wasnt your signature
if it wasnt your signature then you have no resposibility fir the debt0
