I have been trying to establish who informs who re £25cash back and for details to be updated on MSE. Seems no one knows EON says I have to inform MSE myself but MSE says EON informs them when my acct is live. Well it has been live since 13 03 2019 but contacting MSE is very difficult. Anyone she's a light. Please Iam going crazy.

Hi Silverbird65
With me once you complete the switch with MSE your bank details are taken, after 3 months or so ( if your switch has been accepted )£25 goes into your bank

Eon will inform MSE (well MoneySuperMarket actually) by paying them the ca. £50 referral fee, from which you will receive the £25 cashback.
When the cashback is paid to you, your CEC account will be updated. Expect it to take 3-6 months to receive the cashback and your CEC account to be updated.
If you wish to release your CEC account earlier to switch again (and probably lsoe the cashback otherwise due for the initial switch) email the CEC and they will do it for you.0 -
How come EON are telling me that I need to inform MSE that the switch is completed.?
Thanks0 -

Thanks
Probably because Eon have no contact with MSE
(Eon will pay MoneySuperMarket the referral fee due, when it comes payable. Other than that, suppliers have no obligation to tell any referrer the current status of any switch request)0 -

Hello Silverbird65 and thanks for joining us.
We've a specialist section who deal with Collective Tariffs like yours. They let MSE know once a switch has been successful. This is done in batches.
After this point, we don't have any further contact with them about specific customers and you'll need to talk directly to MSE about cashback.
Hope this explains Silverbird65.

I have spoken to EON they say they don't have a special dept and that it is up to me to let MSE know that I am live with EON. So you see none of this is making sense. Your thoughts or anybody?
Thanks0 -

Hello Silverbird65 and I'm sorry you were told this team doesn't exist.
To be honest, the specialist section I'm talking about are a back office team which not all frontline advisors are aware of. They are right, though, about needing to deal directly with MSE's Cheap Energy Club where cashback is concerned.
If you follow the link MoneyMate has posted, I'm sure you'll find the help you need.
Thanks Silverbird65.
