Had to send Mr H out for ketchup last night :o so £2 spent not a NSD

Pulled some diced chicken breast out the freezer to defrost for tea, got some veggies to throw in to make a curry. will make some Bombay spuds too and maybe try out GP lentil dhal too.

Haven't made it to baby boob group today so that saved £2 on parking, not really feeling very sociable today :o

I've cancelled my DD with EON as it is due in the next day a so but as we are switching I would rather receive a final bill then have to chase them for a refund of credit. I've ringfenced the funds though ;)

Generally all quiet on the western front.

Seems really eerily quiet in here too :o should be used to talking to myself by now :rotfl:

Hello Mrs H and sorry to lose you. Just thought I'd let you know what happens next.

Your new supplier will send us their opening meter readings and we'll use these to close our account and issue the final bill. This stops energy charges being duplicated.

If you registered with our website for paperless billing, we'll put the final bill online and send an email to let you know it's there. If not, we'll post the final bill to you.

As there's no longer a live Direct Debit, we'll refund any credit by cheque within 10 days of the final bill. If there's anything owing, there are various ways to pay including online through our website or mobile app; over the phone by card (lines are open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and between 8am and 6pm Saturdays); or a cheque can be sent to the address on the final bill.

Sorry again to lose you Mrs H and thank you for being with us for so long. Best wishes for the future.

Hello Malc!! It sure has been a while since you slid in to my dairy to help me a fair few years back! I worked out I have been with EON for at least 12 years maybe 15 however the figures just do not add up for us this time unfortunately! And with the removal of Tesco points too a while back it's time to try something new!

Thank you for filling me in on the process, I assumed I would be issued with a closing bill on submitting of meter readings. I'm trying to work out if we pay a month in advance or a month behind :o - who knows :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Mrs H and I remember popping in a few years back. Where's that time gone?

Totally understand your reasoning. I wish I had something more favourable to tell you about.

I suspect the Direct Debit will have previously been taken in arrears as they don't kick in until after we start supplying.

Thanks again for being with us for so long Mrs H and have a great weekend. :j

Busy week this week! and a costly one :(

Missy H came home with very soggy feet after her school shoes fell to bits :( meant a trip to the shops and a new pair of suitable boots £50 later! buying footware for her is a challenge at the best of times due to insoles/supports.

Still no contact from Link :( and the letters are still rolling in from creditors despite the arrangements in place. I know they will settle down but still I dread the post coming :( first time im wondering if leaving SC was the correct thing.

I need to have a very low spent week this week coming as have a few spendy days coming up towards the end of the month, the vouchers are rolling in for birthdays and Christmas but the selling sites are slow and no one wants my junk :rotfl:

I picked up a new frying pan £6, some birthday presents £22 , cards and some bargain baby clothes in the asda sale this week, pjs, baby grows, and vests down to £1 a pack from £6/7/8 so grabbed what I could for future sizes for hitch hiker then some smaller items for the baby gift bag as my friends seem to be growing and popping out sprogs almost monthly at the minute :o also picked up the bits of food I get from asda that I can't get at aldi - spent £83

Feed the car as I never made it to Tesco for the points £58  that should see us until the end of the month although I do have £24 in the petrol budget left if needed.

Meet a friend for coffee but used a full "free drink" loyalty card and made sure I ate before we went so no need for breakfast. :o

Have a hunted down a few activities for the little hinges and signed up for some free trials - not sure we will actually sign up for the paid sessions but they will definitely enjoy the freebies :o is that Snide? Savvy?

I've started the Spring cleaning (always running late :rotfl:) bleached the nets, scrubbed the windows in the rooms with nets :o (the rest will wait until tomorrow :rotfl:) currently got the shower cubicle swimming in bleach ready for a good scrub once the little Hinges are in bed!

    tomorrow's jobs:
vax master H's carpet.... tricks on shifting the multiple unidentified stains?!
    kitchen to blitz
    floors to bleach
    meal plan to write

I've checked the school lunch menu and this week both the boys have lunch 3 out of 5 days which will help the food spends...… then found a letting in their bags with a celebration dinner that they will also eat :T 4 out of 5 days must be a record!

Popping in to say goodbye really- it's time to bow out of online life and actually deal with the real life head stuff.

Over the years Mse has been an amazing outlet and a great support but recently talking to myself just hits a little too close for comfort. Family, friends and real life rejection is hard enough with out opening yourself up to it online too.

So very sorry that you are not going to post anymore. Over the years, I have sat and marvelled at your resilience in all that life has thrown at you. I must admit to being one of those readers of the site who rarely leaves comments. This is mainly due to not having been in debt and therefore being unable to give the information that other debt free travellers can. I do however find some of the things they do helpful in ensuring I keep my costs down, as only have pension. Wishing you and all the Hinges the very best for the future

Hi. Just read through your diary and was about to post to say I've subscribed and wish you well, then I saw your last post:eek:

Whatever you decide to do, I hope you get where you want to be in life, and that everything goes well for you and your family. I, for one, would love to follow along with you on your journey, but ultimately it's about what you feel comfortable with.

    Wishing you the very best.

    Pip :)

We are still meandering around Scotland, but now headed south. Internet and phone signal has been dire on this trip and tonight been doing some catching up.

I am sorry that you no longer wish to post, as always send my very best wishes to you and the whole Hinge family.

Whatever you do do NOT forget the second line of your signature, you are one very amazing and special lady.
