I recently sent two iPhones X’s to them. In my opining really good condition (certainly one I’d be happy to pay for - and I am picky).
I was quoted approx. £415 however when I added to the basket it came through as £625. I thought this was a bit too much but of course I accepted.
Anyway, both handsets were received today and checked, and guess what. They are both marked as poor and offered £265.
One apparently has dust under the screen - didn’t think this was possible due to the OLED screen being embossed (or whatever it is) to the actual glass of the screen.
The other apparently has screen discolouration and/or fading.
I know it’s only my opinion but these phones were genuinely in really good/excellent condition. I don’t know if they have revised the offer on purpose so they don’t need to pay the £625 which was obviously an error.
Has anyone had any dealings with them before? Reading reviews people have claimed when they decline offers their handsets come back scratched/damaged. I am really concerned now.

I requested my iPhone 8 back from music magpie last year as they tested and advised there was a scree. Fault.
I then sold it via eBay for a few hundred which was closer to music magpies original offer.
I've had decent offers accepted and paid until they let me down with iphone8.
I suspect these re cycle companies have being paying out too much for a few years and it's possibly become unprofitable.
There's going to be more if these reductions I expect which is why I'm behaving myself and running Xs and iPad Pro 11" full contract terms.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -

\yes it was returned in 2-3days.
Exact spotless condition I had packed it in.
Is was only 6 months from o2
I only traded it as I thought WiFi wasn't great in one or two rooms whilst home.
I won;t take such an unintended risk again as I still had considerable cost to pay o2 to clear device bill-which I did with a few quid from myself added to sold payment.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. On the flip side I recently purchased an iphone-SE from Music Magpie. On the website it was described as “Apple iPhone SE 64GB Rose Gold EE (Good condition 12 months warranty) “ ...£84.99 inc del.
However, when I received the phone I was pleasantly surprised because cosmetically it appears to be in ‘Pristine Condition’,....the screen and case are flawless. It shows no visible signs of use and it looks as clean as the day it left the factory. It functions perfectly in all respects and the battery life/charging is excellent too.
Perhaps Music Magpie are extremely picky when they assess phones that have been sent to them,...or perhaps??? they always offer less than their original quote in the hope that the seller will just accept the reduced price.
To be fair to MM they will return your item (free of charge) if you decline their reduced offer;...I wonder what percentage of people do decline though!
Why the phone I purchased was only classed as ‘Good’ I can only guess at. Perhaps it's a bit older than other SE’s,...or perhaps Music Magpie know something about it that I’m yet to discover! :doh:0
