This thread is on a completely different planet to the issues usually asked about in this forum.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

My question is to figure out how much company will save if pay me let’s say 10k in bonus instead as the pay rise. (Please ignore uncertainty of bonus repetition)

With respect if you're worth £20k more today than you're worth yesterday thenyou should be using some of that to invest in proper advice rather then worrying about whether the comany is saving money.

Whatever they say/write your bonus is likely to be discretionary - if not it would be salary albeit paid in a different way. If the company goes bust/makes you redundant then anything given will be based on your 'salary'

IMHO you'd be mad to accept it as bonus (unless you expect to be there just a short time)

This is all assuming of course that you're the employee and not an 'employer' looking for some cheap advice

    Thank you

The whole point of my question is to understand will the employer have actually any financial benefit in paying me a part of the agreed pay rise as a bonus or not.

If the financial benefit doesn’t exist that means they are not saying the truth and it’s a huge red light for me.

On other side if the company will save some money maybe accepting this deal would be ok as I’m gertting quite big pay rise.
