Hi all,
I remember a link being posted a while ago to a website that shows crime/wealth/quality of life indicators etc on a map. A bit like google map and you could scroll around looking at different areas (darker red bad through to dark green being good).
Try as I might I can't seem to locate said website.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if so could you post a link please?
Many thanks

I'd take that website with a huge dollop of salt.
I tried a few postcodes I know well, one of them is the home address of a family member, they've lived there 30 years and I know for a fact it's a very nice, quiet area. The stats on that website are predominantly red with a few ambers. Another postcode which is a crime ridden dump scores slightly higher for most of the indicators. At a guess I'd say the stats cover too wide a geographical area to be useful. In the case of those two examples I know the rough area has some nicer areas nearby and vice versa.0 -
That site is based on electoral divisions. For my rural area the generalisations mean that it's useless.
Still, I'm comforted to know we're very healthy here, apart from the 12% who are ill, of course!0 -
Crime can be seen on a map here https://www.police.uk/0

Thanks for the replies but those weren't the one I was thinking of....0

I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 1.3 million.
You tell me what number I'm thinking of and I'll tell you the website...0 -
I think there was a web site called 'Up My Street' which used to give Acorn consumer classification data as well as the things listed on the local area site above.
It no longer seems to exist but Acorn does.
