Hi I have a new gas supply being installed got quote from Cadent cheapest by far.
I have to sort a meter with my new supplier.
I am able to switch electricity at the same time.
Can anyone advise which suppliers provide free meters these days.
I can stick them for a year to start with.
Thanks
Have a great day!

The general opinion these days is that you don't go dual fuel so sort your electric out now.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

When the Cadent crew install the pipeline, make sure they give you your MPRN - Meter Point Registration Number - Without this no one will supply your home with Gas
Your best bet is to ask your present Elec supplier to install the gas meter, which is done for FREE - They are after all getting a new Gas customer.
Get at least 3 Local Quotes for boiler and radiator installation, because with a local plumbing firm doing the annual service and any repairs over time, you won't need expensive insurance cover such as that sold byBritish Gas and some others
When it's all up and running go onto the comparison and search for 'Elec only' and 'Gas only' - Buying each fuel from different suppliers is usually cheaper than 'Dual Fuel' from one supplier0
