I have been with Eversmart for a year now and my tariff is about to end - I am unable to log into my account or make any contact with them - I have tried online chat to no avail - I just wanted to switch to a different tariff and remain a customer - this is now looking very unlikely based on the very poor customer service experience - can anybody advise if I switch will my smart meter still work ? or will I have to have a new one installed

I'm also with Eversmart and have found that if you phone them, despite being stuck on the end of an interminable queue, if you wait for a couple of minutes there's an option to request a call back and it's worked every time for me. I've usually been called back within half an hour.
It's unlikely that your smart meter will work in it's smart mode with another supplier until sometime next year, however it will still work as a meter and you can still send in meter reading to your new supplier.
I also had problems with the website, but it seems to have sorted itself since they've been faffing about with it
try this log-in page https://www.eversmartenergy.co.uk/index.php/user/login#?title=fuelType which is the one that works for me.
Please let us know if it works for you (so other who are in the same predicament can benefit)
If you can log in, then I'd strongly advise that you download PDF copies of all your bills and statements and SAVE them just so you've got a record of your account. It would also be useful to check that your bills are based on actual meter readings rather than estimates just in case they haven't been properly recoding your smart meter info.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Yes thanks the link did work and I took your advice and downloaded all of the bills and I noticed with interest all of the bills are estimated - not sure why this now worrys me as I have a smart meter which they installed ! so now I am not sure if the display is showing correct information - will try to ring them0

If you can get into your account why not just read your meter yourself and enter a meter reading into your account and hope that they update the bill. Make sure you read the actual meter and not the silly device that you've got indoors.
TBH even with a smart meter I would still check that the bills were using actual readings and make sure they were corrected if they were estimates.
I've always worked with technology but in the end you still need to do basic checks yourself, just to ensure that it's doing what it should.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Just tried that site, after weeks of not getting logged in and it works. Thanks for that.
Tried the link to 'My Account' on the site I have always previously used https://www.eversmartenergy.co.uk/ and it still doesn't work.0
