Thats been my place of choice for a while. Slightly concerned about the health of their business going forward though.
Currys is always the very last place I look and unless it's a spectacular bargain or I can't get it anywhere else I avoid them.

Nothing wrong with Richer Sounds. With a year on year increasing turnover - 2018 being £188,992,196 giving a gross profit of £40,065,088 I think they will be around for a while :)

I used to work for Curry’s, I was sacked because I used to refuse to push warranties as hard as I should have.
We all went on a full day course to learn how to convince the customer they absolutely needed this warranty - pure brainwashing.

Thankfully my career picked up elsewhere shortly afterwards, so they did me a favour!

Curry's are a joke! When I bought a laptop they tried to charge me a fee for setting it up. I laughed and said no. A fee for turning it on and following the instructions? Jfc... they're a joke.

I don't mind sales people trying to push warranties as it is their job to do so, as long as they don't get stroppy if I refuse. I've not had that for a while, but then again I avoid Currys like the plague so maybe that's the reason.

Yeah, the salesman did me a favour I suppose. I was going to Currys because it was convenient and I could get some gift cards for less than face value. RS store was a bit of a trek, but worth it, every part of the purchasing experience was enjoyable.

I should also mention that the TV I bought was the exact same TV Currys had, besides the !!!!!!!! meaningless spec change to generate a new SKU and avoid price matches.
