Euro Car Parks / Brewers Fayre

My Son received a £100.00 parking fine after visiting his local Brewers Fayre with his partner and two toddlers. They were in the pub for 56 minutes, which is confirmed by the times stated on the PCN. The signs in the car park say in large, bold letters that the maximum stay is 2 hours but underneath in small print, it says that you have to register your car on a tablet in the entrance to the pub. On subsequent visits, it turns out that this tablet is on a table in the entrance porch and is often obscured by a large free-standing banner.

My wife rang and complained to the manager of the pub, who said that he could not personally cancel the fine but said he would print off a copy of their receipt as proof of their visit. We now have the receipt which confirms that he parked at 13:28 and left at 14:24.

After being advised to ignore the initial letter, he has just received a final notification letter giving him 28 days to pay up or appeal.

I have spent a few hours reading all the advice on here but am still confused as to who I should appeal to and what to say (and more importantly, what not to say). Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

If the letter says he can appeal it should also tell him how to appeal.0

The manager is talking nonsense if they engaged the scammers they can get the invoice (it's not a fine) cancelled.
It won't matter a jot how many receipts he prints off the scamming PPC is unlikely to cancel that's how they make money.
If the idiots at the Brewers Fayre cover up the pad and the signage doesn't comply that's their fault not the driver.
Also write a nasty review on Trip Advisor.
No one on here will tell you to pay a scammer, especially Euro Muppets follow the advice on here and make an appeal as advised0 -
You need to check out the Newbies' thread. Scroll down to the appeal template in blue text - there is only one blue one and it is THE ONE to use. Don't change it in any way.
When appealing, the keeper needs to select the correct option from the dropdown box - 'Registered Keeper', not driver. Do not reveal the driver's identity.
Also, fire off a landowner complaint to the CEO of Brewers Fayre. You should be able to find out who that is easily enough. The sooner the better and insist on cancellation for all the reasons you & fisherjim have identified. (Again, don't identify the driver, it's 'we' visited the pub, 'the driver' did this or that.)0 -
Return to Brewers Fayre and take photos of the signs and the keypad obscured by the banner.
Tell the manager that you are led to believe this invoice can be cancelled.
If he still is unhelpful then email the CEO with a polite complaint with copies of the photos.

Please post the date of the alleged infringement and the date the invoice was issued.
Read up on the NEWBIES thread where you will find the BLUE appeal to send to ECP.
This will not identify the driver and also let ECP know that you are receiving forum help.0 -
Make sure to get the manager’s name and he knows you will be relaying his lack of help to the CEO.
No Mr Nice Guy - he is part of the scam.0 -
After being advised to ignore the initial letter, he has just received a final notification letter giving him 28 days to pay up or appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
